Wordless Wednesday: Look What I Found!

Look What I Found at the Antique Store:
Postcard of Brackenridge Park, San Antonio, Texas
[My dad graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1955 and lived near this park at the time.  I can't tell you how many times we've had family picnics there ~ they're too numerous to count.  The Japanese Sunken Gardens located there are divine, too!  This postcard is postmarked 14 Feb 1909.]

Don't you just love old postcards -- especially the special finds that actually have a family connection!!! Good job on the collage . . . V. . . .

Hello Caroline,
This looks great! I hope you will consider submitting this to the Quadrupeds issue of A Festival of Postcards for the section called The Artful Postcard.
Happy postcarding!

Caroline, I really love the look of your blog! And your postcard is ideal for the Quadruped edition of the Festival. So glad you found it. You did a wonderful job on the collage.

Thank You, Judith! I was very excited to find the postcard, especially since it's from 1909. I didn't even see the horses in it until I was creating the collage.

It always amazes me that cards from as long ago as that manage to survive, and yet they do, thankfully.
